Oklahoma Premier Pickleball League
Past, Present, and Future
The Oklahoma Premier Pickleball League (OPPL) was founded by Jenna Hessert in December of 2023. She recognized the growth of pickleball, alongside the accessibility and inclusive aspect of a sport that could do wonders for a community across all age levels and demographics. However, there was also a significant lack of high-level opportunities and quality programs for pickleball within the state of Oklahoma.
MISSION STATEMENT
Create a competitive pickleball league to grow the viewership and engagement of the sport within Oklahoma while promoting local businesses and helping develop and sponsor aspiring pro pickleball players from our state.
The timeline below showcases just how fast this league took hold and how much the Oklahoma community has embraced it. Multiple individuals and businesses have already invested in the OPPL, with many more looking to become a part of this movement. The OPPL has also helped several players gain national recognition and sponsorships to help them reach their athletic goals.
